Before you order an adapter
In the box: 130 mm quick-release, 135 mm quick-release and 12 × 142 mm. Sold separately: 12 × 148 mm Boost — confirm the exact part for your bike.
12 × 100 mm is a front-wheel axle, not a rear one: a modern rear axle is 12 × 142 mm, or 12 × 148 mm on a Boost mountain bike.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. The JetBlack WhisperDrive Smart supports 12 × 142 mm thru-axle, 12 × 148 mm Boost thru-axle. In the box: 130 mm quick-release, 135 mm quick-release and 12 × 142 mm. Sold separately: 12 × 148 mm Boost — confirm the exact part for your bike.
The JetBlack WhisperDrive Smart ships with a Shimano/SRAM HG (HyperGlide) freehub and supports Shimano/SRAM HG (HyperGlide), Campagnolo and SRAM XD Driver Body. Non-included bodies are sold separately.
No — you fit your own cassette (reuse a spare wheel’s or buy one matching your drivetrain speed).
No cassette: you fit your own or buy one. The freehub body already on it is Shimano/SRAM HG (HyperGlide). Axle hardware in the box covers 130 mm quick-release, 135 mm quick-release, 12 × 142 mm. Sold separately, if you need it: Campagnolo (hard to source), SRAM XD Driver Body (hard to source).
Yes — a SRAM XD freehub body is available for the JetBlack WhisperDrive Smart (sold separately unless it ships with one).
No — there is no Shimano Micro Spline freehub body for the JetBlack WhisperDrive Smart, so a Shimano 12-speed MTB cassette (XTR, XT, SLX, Deore) will not fit. It takes Shimano/SRAM HG (HyperGlide), Campagnolo and SRAM XD Driver Body instead.
Yes — a Campagnolo freehub body is available for the JetBlack WhisperDrive Smart.
No — the JetBlack WhisperDrive Smart uses a physical cassette and does not support virtual shifting. The manufacturer has ruled virtual shifting out for this model: no firmware is coming, so a Zwift Cog on it is one fixed gear and nothing else.
The JetBlack WhisperDrive Smart is discontinued — JetBlack no longer sells it new. It still works with today’s training apps and used units are easy to find; its compatibility (axle standards, freehub options, cassette) is unchanged from the specs above.
